What is the average budget of a couple getting married at SpringHaus Farm?

-
That is a great question! In general, we believe the average budget of a couple getting married at SpringHaus Farm is between $12,000-$18,000 for all wedding expenses (venue, food, dress, DJ, photographer, etc.).
-
We also know some very creative couples with smaller guest lists and they have hosted beautiful weddings in the $12,000 - $15,000 range.

Is there a food and beverage, or guest count minimum?

-
No. Many venues have minimums because they make a 10 - 15% commission from the caterer based on how much you spend on food and drinks.
-
We choose NOT to make a commission because we want our food and beverage options to be as elegant or affordable as your budget allows, and therefore we don't have a food and beverage or guest count minimum.
-
Some caterers may have a reasonable minimum for specific dates.

Do we have to utilize your caterers?

-
We like to look at it like a "friendors" we love list! As we grow and get to know more vendors we are adding and taking away.
-
There are several caterers that we LOVE and once you book at SpringHaus Farm, you will get that list!
Will there be another wedding on the same day?

-
At SpringHaus Farm we only host one wedding each day to ensure that each couple's event is special and receives our full attention.

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

-
There are many Air B&B and hotels close to SpringHaus Farm for overnight accommodations, a few we love include: The Silver Farmhouse! & a Historic Renovated Apartment in Comer. Both great places!
-
Spark by Hilton, Commerce, GA: 30539 HWY 441 SOUTH Commerce, Georgia 30529
-
Homewood Suites by Hilton, Athens, GA: 750 East Broad Street Athens, Georgia 30601
-
Hampton Inn, Athens, GA: 2220 W. Broad Street Athens, Georgia 30606

How many cars will your parking lot accommodate?

-
85 cars in gravel lot with additional parking in grass areas. We hosted Prom 2025 and if we can get 420 students in our area, trust me when I say we have enough parking! :)

What kind of tables do you offer?

-
We have both 8' farmhouse and 6' and 5' round tables onsite that can be used for your gift table, head table, etc.

Do you provide table linens, cups, silverware, etc?

-
No. SpringHaus Farm provides an awesome venue, tables, upgraded wedding chairs, and lots of decor for the allotted amount of time.
-
Linens and cups/silverware are NOT included in the rental fee.
-
You are also welcome to bring your own linens.

What happens in case of rain?

-
In the case of rain, we have a beautiful backdrop indoors with the SpringHaus Farm rustic barn doors and grand staircase.
-
Guests sit at their tables and the SHF team will move a few (usually 3 - 5) chairs down the middle of the room to create a beautiful aisle.
-
Our couples have loved this option because it’s a stunning ceremony location and doesn’t require the room flip other venues require, which would be disruptive to your event.

Do you allow dogs on site to play a part in our wedding day?

-
We are dog-friendly, with some specific stipulations.
-
Dogs are allowed (only with pre-approval by our owners Ginger & Paul) at the ceremony and pictures.
-
Animals, other than service animals, are NOT allowed under the roof or near food.
-
Dogs must be on a leash and with a dedicated handler at all times.

What form of payment does SpringHaus Farm accept?

-
Cash or check is preferred.
-
Credit and debit cards and bank transfers may be accepted but the client will be responsible for the credit card fee at the end of the payments.
-
We also accept Venmo and CashApp as these are fee free at the moment.

Where can I find pictures of the decor available?

-
We have it all photographed on our inventory page.

What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?

-
If you have chosen a full day rental, you have 14 hours of access to the venue so please plan accordingly and it will be addressed on your contract the time frame you wish to start!

Do you include a "wedding day coordinator?"

-
This is such a great question! If you're trying to compare venues "apples to apples" we feel like this is a tricky question.
-
Our answer is yes, we have a day of wedding coordinator available for you to use that is specific to SpringHaus Farm.
-
We think it’s possible for the job duties of a "day-of wedding coordinator" to mean something different to you than it does to us, and the last thing we want is the opportunity for miscommunication.
-
Our day-of-wedding coordinator is a team leader here before you arrive onsite who stays with you throughout the duration of your big day.
-
This member of the SpringHaus Farm team is here to help you however they can (be an extra set of hands decorating, guide you around the farm for best photo ops, answer questions from your vendors direct them as necessary, etc.)
-
Their goal is to do everything possible to help your day go smoothly and ensure your day is as stress-free as possible!

What time does the music need to end?

-
Madison County's noise ordinance states Music on Fridays/Saturdays must conclude by 11:00 p.m. to ensure that you, all of your items, and all of your vendors are off-property by midnight.
-
Music on weekdays (Sundays - Thursdays) must conclude by 10:00 p.m. to be off-property by 11:00 pm.

Are candles allowed?

-
Great question! So, white oak barn and fire don't routinely go well together so, only flameless candles are allowed for safety reasons.
-
No tapered candles are allowed, floating candles are allowed as long as they are in tall vases that is fine.

Are outside snacks and trays permitted?

-
Outside food and drinks are permitted before the ceremony. Please no drinks in glass bottles.
What is the event clean-up process?

-
We appreciate you leaving SpringHaus Farm the way you found it.
-
Our staff will handle all "standard" clean-up after the event (cleaning bathrooms, mopping etc.)
-
Trash removal during the reception should be handled via your professional caterer
Can we take photos around the venue on our wedding day?

-
Of course, within moderation! Just ask us and we would be happy to make recommendations for the best spaces.
Can we nail decorations to the walls or hang things like streamers or lanterns from the beams?

-
We request that holes are not placed in the walls.
-
We will have areas where hooks are already placed that you are welcome to use for any additional decorations.
-
The white oak beams at SpringHaus Farm at very tall and not reachable by a ladder.
-
For this reason, we do not allow for anything to be hung from the beams.
-
We hope that you will find them beautiful without any extra work!

Do you have a tea/water/coffee service?

-
Actually we do now!
-
We are learning as we grow and sweet tea is a thing here in the south!
-
If you prefer we handle your tea/water and coffee service we would be happy to make sure the sweet tea keeps flowing! There is an added price for this service (see Hooley's Events).

Could you share the bar information with us?
-
Here is the link: Hooley's Events.

When the flower girl walks down the aisle, do you require real flower petals to be dropped?

-
We do not allow LOOSE artificial flower petals outside, for a few reasons, they blow away and we have cows/the donkey Radar just over in the other field and we don't want them choking on these items. Real flowers petals will dissolve.

For send off, do you allow sparkles to be used?

-
YES, you can have a sparkler exit outside away from the barn, the only thing we request is WE light them and ask your guests to hold onto it until we come with water or sand for them to place it in.
-
And adults only can be given a sparkler...why you ask? Our youngest got a 3rd degree burn by grabbing the end of the sparkler right after it went out when he was 5. It was the worst burn and he was in so much pain for days...I just don't want another child to have to go through that again!
-
You must let the day of insurance policy (Nuptial Risk) know you are going to be using sparklers as your send off, it may be a higher premium for that but we pride ourselves on transparency at all times.

Do you require cancellation insurance?

-
While we don't require it, we very highly recommend it! Payments are final and non-refundable.

I'm scheduling at tour soon but my whole family can't come, can I schedule more than one tour?

-
While we love to see and meet your entire family, we ask that you bring everyone to the 1st tour so we can keep those spaces open for new clients. We offer a Booked Couples Open Haus we schedule every 3rd Tuesday of the odd months.

Do you have a lost and found?

-
While we can hang onto things that folks leave behind, we are not responsible for said items, and will only keep them for 2 weeks (14 days) after the event. If you think you lost something, please call 706-THE-FARM.

Do you require day of insurance policy?

Yes, we (as do many wedding venues), require a day of insurance policy via Nuptial Risk Insurance and is required to be purchased at least 30 days before the event.

Do you require a damage deposit?

Such a great question! A $500 damage deposit will be required one week prior to the Event. The damage deposit will be returned in the event all conditions are met (including, but not limited to a post-inspection of SpringHaus Farm premises after the event being held, as well as other conditions outlined in our contract). Upon completion of your event, there will be an inspection of the entire SpringHaus Farm premises. Upon completion of a satisfactory inspection (a room-by-room checklist), your refund will be processed. During the post-inspection following your event, no damage to the property and the entire facility (including parking lots, walking trails and outdoor areas) should be noted. Additionally, the facility must be left clean with all trash removed the night of the event. Failure to complete the exit inspection and vacate the premises by 12 am will result in a portion or all the $500 damage deposit being forfeited by Wedding Party: SpringHaus Farm is a NO SMOKING/NO VAPING event hall. ANY smoking or vaping inside the facility can result in a forfeiture of the $500 damage deposit.
